Overview
The third-generation Touareg was revealed on 23 March 2018 at an event in Beijing and made its motor show debut at the Poznań Motor Show. It is built on the MLB Evo platform shared with the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Bentley Bentayga, and Lamborghini Urus, giving the Touareg its first body structure independent of the Audi Q7 door skins. The third generation was not offered in North America, where Volkswagen had already introduced the larger and more affordable Atlas/Teramont from 2017 onward.
