How Checkout Works

How Checkout Works

WATTSHIP uses Stripe Checkout to securely collect payments when you upgrade your tier. Here’s what happens at each stage.

Starting checkout

When you click an upgrade button on /pricing, you are redirected to a secure Stripe Checkout page hosted by Stripe, not WATTSHIP. This page is encrypted end-to-end and Stripe never shares your card details with WATTSHIP servers.

On the checkout page

You’ll see:

  • Your selected tier name and billing period (monthly or annual)
  • The full amount you’ll be charged
  • A payment method selector (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay)

Complete the form with your email and payment details. Stripe validates your payment method in real time before you submit.

After you submit

Stripe processes your payment. This takes 1–5 seconds in most cases. During processing, you’ll see a loading spinner.

✅ Payment succeeds

You are redirected back to WATTSHIP with a confirmation message. Your tier updates immediately and you receive a confirmation email from Stripe with your invoice. Your Dashboard now shows your new tier badge and updated tool access.

❌ Payment fails

You’ll see an error message with the reason (card declined, insufficient funds, etc.). You can:

  • Correct the payment method and retry immediately
  • Exit and try again later
  • Contact Stripe support if the error persists

Invoices and billing

All Stripe invoices are automatically sent to your email on file. You can also view invoices and payment history at /dashboard/settings → “Manage Billing” → Stripe Customer Portal.

Browser warnings

Stripe Checkout redirects you away from wattship.xyz. This is normal and secure. Your browser will show a “Leaving WATTSHIP” warning — this is expected.

Never give your card details to WATTSHIP directly. If a page on WATTSHIP asks for card details, that is a phishing attempt — report it immediately to [email protected].
