Payment Methods by Country
WATTSHIP uses Stripe for all billing. Stripe supports a wide range of payment methods globally. The specific methods available depend on your billing country.
Available globally
Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit and debit cards work in all 8 WATTSHIP markets. These are the most reliable payment methods and support both monthly and annual billing with automatic renewal.
Digital wallets
Apple Pay is available for iOS users globally when using Safari. Google Pay is available on Android and Chrome. Both support the same subscription tiers as card payments.
Market-specific methods
Australia: BECS Direct Debit (bank account) is available as an alternative to cards.
UK: BACS Direct Debit is supported via Stripe. Ideal for businesses managing vendor payments from UK bank accounts.
EU markets (if expanded): SEPA Direct Debit is planned for European market expansion.
Adding or changing your payment method
Navigate to /dashboard/settings → “Manage Billing” → Stripe Customer Portal → “Payment methods.” You can add a new card, set a default, or remove an old card here. Changes take effect on the next billing cycle.
Payment failures
If a payment fails, Stripe retries automatically: 3 days after the first failure, then 5 days, then 7 days. If all three retries fail, your subscription is paused and you receive an email notification. You retain access during the retry window. Update your payment method to restore the subscription without any gap in access.
Invoices
All invoices are available in the Stripe Customer Portal at /dashboard/settings → “Manage Billing.” Invoices are in USD by default.
