Hybrid powertrain

Overview

For many markets such as in Europe, the second-generation ZS is only available with a hybrid powertrain marketed as ZS Hybrid+, powered by a 100 kW electric motor and a 1.8 kWh battery, combined with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 106 PS for a total system output of 196 PS. The EV variant will no longer be offered, replaced by the similarly-sized MGS5 EV that is built on a dedicated battery electric vehicle platform, Modular Scalable Platform shared with the MG4 EV.
