Overview
The all-new, sixth generation, Y62 series Nissan Patrol was launched on 13 February 2010 in Abu Dhabi. A luxury version (Z62) was sold as the Infiniti QX56 from 2010 (the first time that a Patrol-based vehicle had been sold in North America since the 60 series in 1969), which was later renamed the Infiniti QX80 in 2013 for the 2014 model year. Despite being built by Nissan Shatai in Japan, the Y62 was an export-only product not sold in Japan due to its massive size, although many Japanese reverse-exported the model to Japan as grey import vehicles, due to the popularity of reverse-exporting Japanese-made export-only models.
